Alexa Mazzarello

Artist and Photographer

Alexa Mazzarello is a Canadian, lens-based artist and photographer specializing in portrait and editorial photography. With a background in gender equality and health, my work is primarily concerned with centering the voices and stories of womxn. I am deeply committed to using my platform to elevate marginalized voices. I also run a gallery/studio centering mothers in the arts in Ottawa called Gallery Nine Four Two. Most recently, as a new mother my work is exploring the artist-mother identity.
